Welcome to the Fortress of the Legion!

This is an idea project I have been kicking around for a few years. What if there was a roleplaying game set in the worlds of Magic: the Gathering?  How would you set it up?  Who would the characters be? Since Magic essentially describes an entire multiverse of worlds do you set it on one or run it with plane-hopping shenanigans?  All of these and more are worth discussing.

Fans of the card game may have gleaned from the title some of where I may be going, though one never knows when things will veer off-course.  Or basic assumption though is that a RPG set in the worlds of Magic would be fun and worthwhile.

Before we go chasing to far down the rabbit-hole, I wanted to say a few words about myself.  I'm veteran gamer of many years.  My first exposure to Magic was in the summer of '95.  Ice Age had just been released and I was being intrduced by my roomate in a summer-camp at the university for nerds who liked math (and amazing calculators) I had just finished the 8th grade and was in love.  The first rare card I ever owned was Wiitigo and he was amazing.  I'd experienced D&D somewhat earlier while vising my cousin and loved the classic 2E AD&D paladin.  I was too inexperienced at the time to recognize the true cheese of half-elves.  Currently I am playing magic, both in standard and commander formats and my RPG of choice is Paizo's Pathfinder system.

My official goal is to post to this blog my design thoughts and notes at least twice a week.  So wish me luck and I hope you enjoy the ride.
